  • The backlash for this movie seems like a job for scientist man...

  • 33:32 but I’m still gonna flippin send it

  • 25:34 that movie you're thinking about is.. Xtro?

  • not everyone wants to be in the room to begin with.

  • killer rant lol

  • This video and its comments are the worst.

  • Can't believe this channel is now about to get 1 million subs

  • Jesus fuck the cancer comments here, fuck, SHIT, FUCK FUCK. Keep blaming the failures of capitalism on women, jesus. fuck. whatever. it is your own shit life.

  • More races =\= more opinions More genders =\= more opinions

  • 27:00 GET RIDDA THAT WHITE DOOD

  • I'm with Rogue on this...

  • A movie that was sold on the basis of female empowerment where there has never been a strong female lead in a movie....and apparently Larsen had to have a stand-in when there was a shot from behind because she is....insecure about her flat ...ass?

  • She’s supposed to be the new head of the MCU, but literally every other female Marvel character is more interesting than Captain Marvel. And that includes the TV shows.

  • Still waiting for the Alita episode, you hacks.

  • I wish Rogue would just come in & suck the life out of Cheese Larson until she's dead. I'd wank to that.

  • I usually love your content. This one takes a bit long to get there. I'm also not sure why we have to view any movie with a female lead as 'feminist propaganda.' We need to get past that as a society. Let's just talk about the movie. Brie's comments about the movie are not the movie, so I was a bit confused about why it was such a lengthy topic of discussion in this review. IMO, this movie is better than the first two Thors, Iron Man 3, first two Captain America, Guardians 2, both Ant-Man, to name a few. This is also better than all Justice League films (I know that's not saying much, except for one).

  • can't stop farting at 10:35 am hours Pacific Standard Time on Friday, 22 March 2019 by the financially insolvent and financially insecure and financially troubled u.S. military veteran Max Rafael Waller

  • Thanos got Curt Cobain

  • $750 million later. Captain Marvel is laughing all the way

  • I guess the reason why I find this more annoying than Antman (for example) is that no one is trying to say Antman is the most important movie ever

  • Wow. It finally but me, these guys look like a live action version of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble lol

  • I like that the DNC thing wasn't actually political. Just talking about Milwaukee. But I wouldn't want the party that is the foundation of the KKK in my town.

  • The city of Wisconsin, Milwaukee sounds awesome!

  • Spider-man turned to dust like Kurt Cobain.

  • This film is so boring that the RLM review is boring. You can feel the indifference. There's not even something bad to have fun with and mock. It's like rice cakes for film.

  • This stopped me commitng suicide,for now.thank you : )

  • About 26:00 part I think that Goblin Slayer is a great example. He regained his humanity by interaction with other people and became more human at the end. A friend of mine a woman went to see the movies and later told me that it was a waste of money. Save my money ty MCU.

  • Brought to you by The Milwaukee Board of Tourism™

  • 27:00 - you're welcome

  • if anyone one ever called me a person of color they would be spending the next few years picking the remains of their teeth out of their sinuses.

  • So basically you only recommend this movie because it's part of the MCU, much the same way you need cocktail sauce because cold shrimp doesn't taste like anything.

  • Good stuff. Keep it up ya rat bastards

  • You cant say Courtney Love snorted Kurt Cobain’s ashes, but you can say fuck and every other curse word a million times? Lol wtf

  • 2:31 a group called the knights of colombus does a fish fry for lent near for church near where i live. im not religious at all but, it nice wholesome things like that that give me you a nice little toasty feeling inside, its nice ^-^

  • Brie Larson is a terrible terrible actress. She is wooden in everything she does. Winning an Oscar doesn’t mean shit and she won it because she was a woman playing a bat shit crazy bitch which means she was just being herself and not acting.

  • This is a fatal flaw in social justice culture.. You can never make those weirdos happy, and you only condemn yourself to additional criticism if you try. They will ALWAYS try to associate you with groups and assign you labels, no matter who you are. The only defense is to assert your individuality and reject group labels.

  • That interview really made her look like a condescending wise-ass.

  • she's just.....unlikable, thats really all there is to it

  • I'm from Milwaukee and I approve this message.

  • This movie sucks ass!!

  • Yeah... The movie was complete trash

  • men are millions of times more charismatic than women, that's the reason this pos movie didn't work. The same is true in politics, art, leadership roles, and pretty much everything.

  • I don't understand why "equality" to some means "tear down other people" to others. Like, get more BME people, get more women, get more trans, get any and all colourful sexualities in on it- but is tearing down white guys for being white guys necessary? I mean, they can't help their race any more than anyone else can. Encourage. Don't tear down. (This is coming from a woman if any are interested.)

  • Got lit at the democratic convention in Charlotte... and the comments you all made on C.M. seemed compromised due to Larson's comments - off the film. Too bad.

  • Brie Larson's acting is better when she's just being herself.

    • Perhaps we can put her alone in a room somewhere...

  • Am I to assume there is no academy awards special this year? Either way, good video.

  • My girlfriend just said, "I can't look away from Rich Evans."

  • Wrinkle in Time sucked ass.

  • In her defense, 'A wrinkle in time' kind of is like a douche. A man can at most be curious about it.

  • Go Packers!

  • Can I just get a movie about Zoe from Firefly? That would make me feel more "empowered".

  • **** people act like wonder woman never happened. which really annoys me. wonder woman has always been an empowering figure for women through generations. and she was also an empowering figure in her sexuality (most people don't know wonder women is bi) the new movie didn't nod to this so as to not confuse who her love interest needed to be but anyway there have also been strong females in these universes that they could make movies on without captain marvel being female. idk i find it pandering hard to anyone that eats these political narratives right up. i would rather have the females represented for genuine reasons and not to push a narrative with stories what fall flat.

  • Oof this video

  • She hot tho

  • The 2 of you should of been the directors.

  • Mike and Jay have a wonderfully respectful examination into the nuances of representation in film and film criticism in this video. I'm sure the comment section will be filled with people willing to engage in a further insightful and meaningful discussion!

  • I really liked the movie but I like all of the mcu movies

  • The teaseract was already on earth. It was the central point of Captain America.

  • It’s also stupid that they relied on stuff that was cut. When the Skrull was pretending to be her, he was asked “whose blood is in your veins?” How would the audience know that based on the movie? Another case of a movie telling and not showing.

  • Love how he just walked through a better plot line that would have made the movie 10 times better! Lol

  • While I can agree with a fair bit of what you are saying regarding the "corporate product masquerading as feminism"... As a father of a young woman who often feels marginalised and "on the outside" I can tell you that this movie did in fact have an impact on her. She and I were both impressed and impacted by the montage showing Carol throughout her childhood picking herself up out of the dust and facing her challenges. so yes perhaps a bunch of 40 year old white dudes aren't really able to comment with authority on what is significant to young women. But yeah Brie Larson is not much of an actress.

  • I both laughed and groaned at the end where they did the Indiana Jones thing.

  • Also I don’t like the fact that her powers sounded like 90s internet low-quality video sound.

  • I still don’t understand from the movie how she got her name. Mar-Vell gave her the powers, but she never said she adopted the name in movie.

  • After captain marvel i have my doubts now in MCU please don't go disney star wars on me

  • Thought I accidentally clicked on a Milwaukee fact video

  • I feel the Captain Marvel review really got in the way of the Milwaukee board of tourism promotional video.

  • wtf

  • Honestly, everyone should've just watched Alita: Battle Angel. It was a bit rough, but it was infinitely more entertaining and interesting than this movie, not to mention had more passion behind it. It took James Cameron decades to get the production under way.

  • as an indonesian myself I’m very proud to supply milwaukee’s sweatpants :) and also the 3000 motorcycles is not a big of a deal in where i came from

  • "Thanks for making the world an embarrassing nightmare, everyone!"

  • Brie Larson wrecks her go kart, Brie Larson Wrecks her jet. 420

  • 25:26 Tarzan. That movie is Tarzan

  • " this is the least important movie that has ever been made in the history of cinema" nothing but facts. Furthermore, identity politics is so tiresome when its purpose is securing capital gain. Diversity is good and not just of race and gender but of ideas, however, it is exhausting when it can only exist at the dissolution of others. If feminism means equality and not an attempt at domination then condemnation of those that don't look like you or agree with you is problematic. Personally speaking, I find Brie larson so uncharismatic and offputting

  • I remember thinking Half Nelson was good. For the life of me, though, I can't recall a single frame of it.

  • You sir have a new subscriber lol

  • Just watched it. Eh. 'twas ok.

  • can she stop acting plz?

  • That legit looked like a house from Milwaukee

  • Nick Fury only mentioned as an afterthought, and the best character in the film was totally ignored. (I'm speaking of Goose, of course. Nice shout-out to Mad Max there.) I'm glad I saw it before I came to NO-tvs to check the reviews here. That way, I at least got a bit of pleasure from it, before learning how very disappointed I should have been with it.

    • Isn't Goose a shout-out to Anthony Edward's character in Top Gun?

  • 4:35 - "Wahn a' dah bikurs strahk a squahd cahr!" The accents, alone, are enough to make me want to visit Milwaukee at least once.

  • Soooo, I assume a Wrinkle in Time is in fact the antithesis of what Brie Larson believes should be accomplished through the medium of inclusion at all costs.

  • Captain Marvel is the first Marvel movie I have no desire to see. However, the version of it you propose sounds awesome.

  • It was equal to the way 1st MCU origin films are. Directors sucked though and probably will have a better sequel when new directors come like Thor. The 1st 2 suck but Ragnarok is a blast bc Waikiti gets it. These directors didnt. Good movie not the clusterfuck some wanted & not the great film others claim.

  • didn´t watch the film and don´t have any intent to watch it. But still look up the reviews

  • The room staring Tommy wiseau or Room staring Brick Larson?

  • did they really need to CG Sam Jackson's face? would makeup and some fake hair not worked just as well?

  • I really like the knife in the wall. Really adds to the atmosphere of the movie review.

  • the fact RLM favors this over Man of Steel is shocking

  • I forgot how bad Channing Tatum looked in Jupiter Ascending!

  • I clearly heard her say ''ambidextrous'', not ''amidestrous''............ Also, Solo: A Star Wars Story takes place before A New Hope.

  • Hey you guys should do "Leaving Neverland". Maybe Macauley Culkin can guest star

  • I really wanted this to be good, and i don't give a flying fuck bout "strong female hero"

  • I agree... Fuck You Miami

  • They made me spit out my beer when he said Spider-Man turned to dust just like Kurt Cobain

  • Spent a few days exploring Chicago with a friend years ago. Met up with a different friend immediately after that to stay with a friend in Milwaukee; I was hoping to explore Milwaukee. We went to a bar one night and sat around bored. The other nights we sat around his apartment bored. Then slept until 3 p.m.

  • Is it weird that I’m dying to go to Milwaukee now?

  • Man, I just moved to Chicago and they told me Winter last until June. WTF man???

  • Never seen so many nerds angry about a movie before.

    • Nobody cares what a black dude has to say. You should just shut the fuck up.

  • 34:41 how dare you. I think about Jupiter Ascending every day.
